Kalyan Budhathoki — Event Producer, Kathmandu

Biography

Kalyan Budhathoki has spent fifteen years between Kathmandu's nightlife floor and its biggest stages, and the two are more connected than they look.

He started in hospitality and nightclub PR, running five years of programming, guest relations and artist bookings for Ozzy Lounge in Thamel. That work taught him the unglamorous half of live entertainment: how a room fills, who has to be called, and what a promise to an artist actually costs to keep.

In 2022 he co-founded Twenty Four Seven Fast Food, a delivery kitchen built to never close, and took on the operational side: staffing, supply, service standards, around the clock. A year later he became Executive Director of TRN Events Nepal Pvt. Ltd, where he now leads artist relations, tour management, production planning and partnerships for every show the company puts on.

Since then he has been on the ground for the three concerts that changed the ceiling for live music in Nepal: Arijit Singh Live in Nepal, the Kathmandu Music Festival with Atif Aslam and Anuv Jain, and Sushant KC Live in Kathmandu, the last of them one of the biggest stages ever built for a Nepali artist.

Two sides of the same job: filling a room, and making sure the room works.
